Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Our canteen is managed by the parents and citizens' association (P&C) and we employ a canteen manager. Parent help is always welcomed. The canteen adheres to the Healthy School Policy.
Opening hours are 8:30am to 2:30pm, operating for lunch and recess. All lunch orders must be in before 9.30am. Please write down your name and class, order and the cost or money enclosed on a paper bag and hand it in at the canteen.
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
Our school uniform consists of a white polo top with navy blue bottom (trousers, shorts or culottes). The sports uniform includes dark blue shorts and navy blue t-shirt.
All children are required to wear a hat when outside especially in the summer months (the 'no hat, no play' policy is enforced). Black shoes are recommended. A school back pack and library bag is available for purchase.
Uniforms are purchased from the school office. A second-hand uniform pool is run by the P&C, which is located in the corridor outside the school office. A navy blue Canterbury Public School performing arts t-shirt for the music program is also available through the school office.
Hiring our facilities
You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring the facility does not interfere with our teaching and learning programs.
