Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

• meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
• includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
• is appropriate for the full range of school activities
• is suitable for all body shapes.

Our school uniform consists of a white polo top with navy blue bottom (trousers, shorts or culottes). The sports uniform includes dark blue shorts and navy blue t-shirt.

All children are required to wear a hat when outside especially in the summer months (the 'no hat, no play' policy is enforced). Black shoes are recommended. A school back pack and library bag is available for purchase.

Uniforms are purchased from the school office. A second-hand uniform pool is run by the P&C, which is located in the corridor outside the school office. A navy blue Canterbury Public School performing arts t-shirt for the music program is also available through the school office.

How to order CPS School Uniforms

• Order and pay online at https://www.picklesschoolwear.com/school/canterbury-public-school
• Email will be sent confirming payment/order to the email address provided
• Orders are delivered to the School Office once a week. Returns/exchanges can be sent and returned via the school office with a completed form link here
• Delivery to an individual's home is also possible for a fee
• Pickles has a retail outlet at Marrickville:

• Any returns or issues need to be addressed directly to Pickles. If after speaking with Pickles, your issues are not resolved, please contact the P&C at canterburypublicschool.pandc@gmail.com or the school office who will let the P&C know

Special note. The first batch of the blue polo shirts has an acknowledged fault with the school logo peeling off. These can be returned to Pickles for an exchange, as per the above process by taking it to the store or returning via the school with the return/exchange form. A receipt and proof of purchase is preferred, but not essential, for this issue only.

Not only do Canterbury students love their school uniform, but they also contributed to the consultation process when the uniform was recently reviewed. Students wear their school uniform with pride. We welcome pre-loved uniforms in good condition. Simply drop clean items to the school office.
